NO ESCAPE FROM JUSTICE: KIBRA CHILD ABUSER JAILED 26 YEARS

A man from Ayani Estate in Sarangombe Ward, Kibra Constituency, has been sentenced to 26 years in prison after being found guilty of defiling a young boy.

The case came to light after concerned members of the community raised an alarm when the suspect was allegedly found with the minor under suspicious circumstances. Through the swift intervention of Kibra-based human rights defender Bampe Sarah and local residents, the child was rescued and taken to safety.

The suspect was immediately arrested and detained at Ayani Police Post before being transferred to Jamhuri Police Station, where investigations were conducted.

Following the completion of investigations and court proceedings, the accused was convicted and sentenced to 26 years in prison. Human rights defender Bampe Sarah who followed up on the case welcomed the verdict, saying it sends a strong message that crimes against children will not be tolerated.

The ruling has been hailed as a victory for child protection, community vigilance, and the pursuit of justice for survivors of abuse.
