Right To Life Committee

Background

The right to life committee is one of the main pillars under the Social Justice Centers Working group, the committee mandate is to advocate, Document EJE cases and create awareness of Human right violations’ in advocacy on issues of Extrajudicial Killings and forceful disappearances.

The “right to life” is the belief that a being has the right to live and, in particular, should not be killed by another entity including government.

The right to Life committee pillar works towards protection of Article 26 of the Constitution of Kenya (2010). It always helps to identify and help seek justice to people who have suffered cases of EJEs (Extra Judicial Executions) enforced disappearance, illegal arrests and detritions and other violence against the people by the State.
